Pin Cushions!!

I made these two fun pin cushions today! Don't you love this fabric? It is called Urban Farm and it is by Keri Beyer. I got it over at The Quilt Shoppe in Rigby! If you are local, you should go to this quilt shop! She has sooo many cute hip fabrics! By far my favorite quilt shop around here, simply because they have more of my style fabrics then the others do.

I made this one first, it has this on one side and then the black on the other side. I think I like the patchwork one better and will be making more of these for my etsy shop!

This was my first attempt at putting on a button, and I must say that is was really easy! Just don't tell my husband, because now he'll want me to sew on all of his popped off buttons. He used to always do it before. He's had lots of experience since serving his mission and having to fix his own clothes!

Peanut Butter Whopper Cookies!

Mmmm!! These cookies are so yummy!! When I first saw the recipe over at Picky Palate, I wasn't too sure about the peanut butter whoppers, but yesterday while at wal-mart I saw them and grabbed a box to try out this recipe. They were wonderful!!

A chewy peanut butter cookie with a slight crunch from the whoppers every now and then. They are really good! You should make them! I didn't make mine into sandwiches like she did, because I kind of think that it would be a little too much sugar for me, but you could try it that way too! They would even be good made into ice cream sandwiches! Mmmm!

Happy Birthday Mom! Brandon misses you lots and talks about you all of the time. He had lots of fun at the Zoo with you!

And at Bear World too! Don't forget to have bubble eggs for breakfast in the morning! We love you!

Donation Quilt

We had a wonderful week with my mom. We went to the Zoo, to Bear World, and lots of quilt shops! Brandon was so sad to see her go, he really loves his gramma.

After she left yesterday he cried himself to sleep, poor little guy. He really misses not being able to see her as often as he would like to. While he and Adam took naps I started making this quilt! My mom and the women that she goes on retreat with are going to be making quilts to donate to the police department. That way the "Uncle Matt Guys" (that is what Brandon calls all policemen, since my brother Matt is one!) can give children quilts when they have been through something traumatic.

I used scraps from crayon cozys and travel size pillows that I have made in the past. It turned into a pretty cute quilt for fabric that I otherwise wouldn't have had any use for! Brandon really likes it since it has Lightning McQueen and dinosaurs in it! He kept saying that its his quilt, but I told him its for a little boy that doesn't have any quilts. He was happy about that!

Hot Dogs!

Yesterday to celebrate the 4th of July we went to downtown Idaho Falls and Todd participated in the annual hot dog eating contest! Last year was the first year for the contest and I didn't get to go because I was still in the hospital after having Adam, but this year I got to see him in action! He won last year, eating 13 hot dogs. This year he broke his record and ate 15 hot dogs in 12 minutes! He won! The guy that took second place ate 10 hot dogs, which is pretty good, but Todd totally had him beat! To say the least, it was really exciting!

We all had a blast watching Daddy win! The boys even had matching hot dog shirts! I got them on etsy from this shop! Everyone commented on how cute they looked and then we said, "Yeah, and Daddy just won the hot dog eating contest too!" The people that own Hot Diggity Dog, the restaurant that sponsors the contest all LOVED the shirts they were wearing, the hot dog hat (which you can't really see in the picture because the boys didn't want to wear it, it's on top of the stroller.) and my hot dog earrings that I got here!

Adam had lots of fun but got really really tired and ended up falling asleep in his stroller right after the contest.

Brandon had a blast dancing to the live music and eating an ice cream. He even played a knock down the milk jug game! We had a great day, with lots of fun! I love the 4th of July!

Ginger Blossom

Look at what I got in the mail a couple of days ago! Sandi Henderson's Ginger Blossom fabrics!! Aren't they so pretty!? I love this line, it's so refreshing and fun! I can't wait to make something with them! I'm trying to decide what I want to make with them still. I'm either thinking a tote bag for me to take to the library and places like that or maybe a wall hanging. I don't know, we'll see. Right now I'm just having fun looking at them!

If you would like some of the Ginger Blossom fabric for yourself head on over to Beth's etsy shop! She sent these to me as a birthday gift and I couldn't be more thrilled to have them! Thank you so much Beth! I really really love them!

Guess who turned one year old today?! Adam Wyatt! Yep, my baby boy is one!! I can't believe it! This year has gone by too fast! It seems like I was just in the hospital having him!

Happy Birthday Baby!
